You must contact TRD Shop directly to obtain the order link for the Pro grille/garnish kit. Otherwise, you won’t find it on the website.

Screenshot of all the correct part numbers...
Wire is not necessary, but is longer to allow proper routing to remain hidden.
(Note that OEMPARTSQUICK.COM no longer is selling these online, you'll have to find somewhere else)

I talked to them this morning, confirmation the grill is the wrong part number, they were awesome to deal with and credited my account back. So I called my dealership, they located me a grill OEM for $207. I got the grill, waiting on the garnish, screws and longer wiring harness. Paid $280 for everything. I will pay a little more knowing it's right. Trdparts wanted $475 for everything delivered to my door, I have to draw the line somewhere so I thought 300 was a good budget to have and not exceed it. To those looking for a grill you got to have a Vin number, but instead of ordering one I was lucky enough to have them see if a local dealer had it in stock. I lucked out, no Vin needed and still got it at cost.

The local dealership says the VIN number thing is because people were putting these on their non-Pro Tacomas and screwing up the TSS.

Toyota didn't wantt to get into legality claims with it's customers. Interesting.

My dealership used about 4 Vin numbers and was still rejected. There is more behind the scenes using a Vin and making sure that Vin hasn't been used already.

My factory oem pro grill letters are held on by taps and are not molded into the grill as a whole. Idk about the 16 and 17 grills but my 18 grill are not molded.

Some VINs report back as non-TRDPro models for the initial check. Sometimes the dealer has to pull the service records to confirm the VIN is actually a TRDPro. Happened to me.
