My wife is going to be taking my truck to get everything installed for me....ya i know scary. Anyways i was wondering if i should take it to 4wheel parts in Atlanta or if anyone knew of a place that is resonable near Columbus, GA. I almost want to wait until i get home but i have a busy schedule when i get back. Thoughts suggestions...????

What kind of lift are you wanting installed? There are a couple of offroad shops in Tallahassee, FL that install lifts. I spoke to them about ordering Toytech stuff for me and installing it till i realized that I could do it myself with a little bit of help. If you are going with a 6" lift you need to have that done by a shop for the welding that is required.

I would help if I was closer to Benning (I like Benning & beer). I just installed my Raflo's and like them so far, but I haven't heard of many Tacoma's running them, glad to see someone else getting them.

    Are You crazy??

Unless your wife is very informative on 4 wheel drive systems, you would think its wise to send her.
Plus they may have questions on different possibilities, suggestions, etc.
I would only be getting any work done while im their to oversee it all.

Well i defenatly have confidence in my wife's judgement and ability to get a task done. But the crazy idea i think you were talking about was 4wheel parts. yeah that was just an idea. I was just tooling with the idea that everything could be done when i arrive. Im going to do it myself when i get back. i found where im going to go and what i am going to do. I apprechate the advice and input. Just remember who in their right mind would join the navy and be on a ship....and you call me crazy??? RLTW

Check out some shops in the Auburn/Opelika area. They did everything on my truck and did a great job.

i will do its good to have a plan incease something goes wrong. how much did they charge to install everything? mine wont be as extensive as yours. Just UCA's coils AAL, and rear shock. what do you think. it is worth my time to have it done when i get home. I leave 2 weeks later to go do some training for a month and a half

    hahaha

just like you, i have all the confidence in my wife also.
She took care of the truck, car, house, our 1st born, a cat and dog, worked full time, while pregnant with our 2nd.
But i always have told her not to mess with the veh's, especially my trucks.
She once mentioned about adding a surprise to my truck while on deployment.
I nicely explained how upset she would be if i came back and didnt like it.
So we agreed to go together when i got back.

The only thing crazy about the navy now is the check i get every month!
hey , your rims turned out nice. Now get some meat on them, i recommend the goodyear Duratracs.

It was all on before my Dad purchased it for me. The previous owner had it installed. Well, if you'll have the time to do that and want to, you could just do it yourself. It's all personal opinion. If you get it done before you get back, you'll have 2 weeks to play...

The name of the shop is Auburn Offroad. Here's their website: http://www.auburnoffroad.com/

haha ya i know what you mean and if i was going to go in depth with this then i would wait but time with her is going to be spent doing other things than pulling crap off the truck in a garage...granted i would be ok but i might have to do a lot more sweet talking to have a nice night...haha thanks bro.
