Where to get this type of wire?

    Why such overkill with your wire sizing? It is fine to load up a fuse and the properly sized wire for that fuse up to 80% of its rated value.

    So for a load that draws 12 amps. 12/0.8 = 15A

    So for a load that has a FLA (Full load amps) of 12A it would be fine to use 14 gauge wire and a 15A fuse.

    at 2x the load you would need a 25A fuse and 10 gauge wire. Theres no need to run that large of a wire unless you're concerned about voltage drop. Which in such short runs of a truck usually isn't much of an issue.

    Ok so these LEDS are rated at 12v and up to 5amps. I was going to go with an 18g wire all
    Of which I've seen so far can handle 300volts they don't list amps but I can't imagine 5 would be a problem. The wires on the LED strip that I have is super small it looks like a 22 or even a 24g. I could probably easily use 22g at the LED then run 18g thru the cabin. I like those connectors Mike. I like them a lot. I'm Going to do something like that!

    I've been thinking about the under the truck lights to come
    On with the door. That's the blue wire lol. I've got like 16ft of these LEDs. I've got a feeling if I do it there I'll be doing your retrofits suddenly while you're doing my LEDS

    Doing all these drawings and figuring out is kinda fun. I just wish I knew more about wiring diagrams etc

    Hahaha hands off my pelfry aluminum skid plate!!! Where's the loctite........???? :)

    I do wanna put in a blueseas fuse box at some point in time.

    No particular reason I can be easily swayed to look at another one. I'll give the busman one a look and see, I'm not stuck to the blue sea.

    Ok, so I went back to Homedepot and I found 18/2 wire that felt nice in the hand not stiff so thanks to everyones help with finding that damn wire. It's still not as nice as the wire in that photo but it will do and I'll be satisfied with it.

    Also thanks Mike @dcsbtaco I got some of those waterproof connectors but found some on Amazon with a smaller wire size @ 18g looks like the ones you linked me to were 10g.

    Now to figure out where I'm going to put all these damn lights HAHA I've got an idea for the rear using the little bit of metal underside of the rear seat that pokes out. Will have to do a test and see how well it lights up the back. . We will see how that pans out. The carpet there is pretty easy to move around so running wires thru the carpet should be easy.

    Does anyone know how the little storage cubbies pop out.....I want to see about running the wires under the carpet but need to remove that first to make a little channel for the wires.
