In all honesty I think you could install it yourself. I have never found myself very mechanically inclined, but I installed the same set-up you want. It took me a weekend in the snow and rain to complete and wasn't that bad. Plus a learning process that allowed me to save some cash. There are some good write ups on here. Just get a buddy and some beers (not too many till your done) and have fun.

They are nice guys but I wouldnt go there. I considered them for my bedcage and 62s and they are way too expensive for their quality of work.

Im happy at Krawltex in Austin. You should check them out.

I do have a good friend that would help me out, but I don't have the tools, I don't really have the space, and I can't afford to put my truck on jacks for more than my two days off. My truck is also my 60 mile round trip daily commuter.

If it were just my "toy", I might be inclined. My biggest fear is getting under there and getting to work, then all of the sudden hitting a point of no return and wishing I had just paid for the labor.

I appreciate your confidence, and likely I will do other mods that are not so elaborate on my own.

Oh and anything outside the Dallas area is out of range.

I'll give them a call and lie to them if I have to with "another estimate". I am thinking no more than 5 hours labor at $60 dollars an hour - $300.

The only bad thing about Rock N Roll is it is a LONG WAY from Anna. Whew that is a haul.

I did find a place in Anna. I went there today and there were four other trucks there (all lifted) and all done by the mechanic on site. Small, local shop, but good honest, quality work by all indications.

    We'll see how it goes.
