OK, So, you still make no mention of the TPMS. Did you have a functioning TPMS system?

I see people say, "I had a blowout on the freeway". When you look at the tire, it's obvious they drove it with ~5lbs of air for 10 miles before it shredded itself to pieces.

Either way this thread was never about how or why the flat tire happened and OP never mentioned it or asked advice about it so I don't know why anybody even brought it up

A well written reply. You're absolutely correct, if a person buys used tires they better know what they're doing.

My dad bought 4 new Cooper (irony) tires and had problems with 2 of them within the first month, Cooper replaced all 4 no charge. He didn't have any problems with those second set of Coopers. Cooper said something about it about being a new model of tire.

4 hours ago Discount Tire recommended I do the exact opposite.

There is absolutely no way any (except a professional race driver on pavement) driver can detect 1 new tire and 3 tires with less than 10,000 miles. No 'ucking way. It will do absolutely nothing to the handling of any non race vehicle. Some of you folks are waaaaay overthinking this.

Probably for the opposite reason you're schooling everyone on how to properly reply to a thread on the internet? They, and myself, are being communicative and on topic while you're being a ____ and was trying to kill the conversation. You sir need more coffee. Lol

Thanks everybody, I've come up with a plan. I'll take the front tires off , break them down , take the beads out , and get them balanced . I've ordered another tire and will put it in the rear with the other new one. The former rear tire will go on the spare ,and the spare tire is up for grabs. So, tomorrow, three of the summer tires leave there furlough under the pingpong table and get put on the taco, to run the tires to the tire shop.
I like to just take the wheels to the tire shop, rather then the whole truck. That way I can check the brakes, sensors, ect. I really need to pull the drums if only for piece of mind. Also want to take a closer look at the spare tire lifting works, it's a little rusty, want it good enough for the next time. When I get the tires back , I'll take them over to a friends garage that has a lift, to install the tires and fix anything found in the first inspection . while it's up in the air, I'll grease and inspect the whole underside before winter rears it's ugly head .
Thanks again for all the wisdom .
