    Sweet! What do I get?

As for understanding ours laws, in Georgia, my vehicle is an extension of my home and I'm not required to have a safe in either.

Not everyone in the US thinks the same about guns and there's nothing wrong with listening to other points of view. As long as discussions are respectful I welcome others views even when they're not the same as mine.

You aren't joking there...really erks me. I've gotten to the point that I hate hearing the word "tactical" because it's generally said by wanna-be military\cop types that have an inferiority complex. I support my local law enforcement and our military, train in Krav Maga and BJJ and try to maintain a decent level of skill with all of my weapons but at the end of the day I'm just a civilian who's hobbies involve what the real cops and military folks do for a living. Maybe I'm taking it too far with this but I wouldn't be surprised to hear from a cop or active\retired military that civilians pretending to be what the cops\military actually are is disrespectful. I image if I put all the hard work into what they do and make the sacrifices they have to make only to see some desk jockey pretend to be in the same league as me would piss me off.

One of the things you learn day one in the service is that you aren't "better" than anyone. Dunno if police is anything like that, but I have to assume it is. It may be frustrating, sure, but viewing it as disrespect is just clouding your mindset with unimportant crap.

Also, I can't see 'BJJ' without thinking 'blow job job' because I'm 12.

I used to be stationed in VA on a base with the seal teams. I never worked with them, but still interacted with them at the gym and while I was working base security. They're some of the chillest dudes I've met and most likely just laugh at all the wanna be's

I learned my lesson long ago at the playground at school. The guy running his mouth does so because he feels insecure, the one calmly assessing the situation is the one to worry about. He know he can handle himself, ensures he isn't perceived as a threat, and already has a plan on who to take down first.

Actually as you can tell by the tag, those are genuine "LEVIS" 512 slim fits in 36" X 34" and they fit quite well with or with out a belt. But as a statement on both of your well healed fashion since, I don't typically ware a belt with a T-shirt :)

Agreed. I would love to hear just one account of 'having a gun mounted to the steering column saved my life and didn't cause unneeded legal trouble'.

If a weapon saves my life, I don't give two shits about legal trouble.

@docloco this picture of your setup is what convinced me to order the Molle panel in the first place. Going to do a shotgun scabbard until I find an AR15 setup I like that fits in my price range. How is yours secured?

This makes me want to live in America.

I'm Canadian, married to an American, spent a year in the ME as a contractor, and don't understand the Canadian liberal "please make a victim of me" mentality at all.

Here is some info for you guys down south:

Honestly, this is probably news to most Canadians as well. I take solace in the fact that if something bad happens anywhere near my home, nearly everyone around will make a much easier target than my family and I.

Oh, I have a KAC SR-15, MOD1 for the record.

When I started this thread I was just looking for where others kept their weapons. As for the laws....... I am a certified pistol instructor for CCW for the state police and a FFL holder. I can carry without issue from law enforcement. I carry in my pocket and want a easy to access gun in the truck. My children are grown and none ever in the truck. I teach gun safety every day with my classes which is very important and should not be overlooked. Just saying.

I just leave it on my hip, if I store it somewhere I could forget it. If I forget it, my truck gets broken into and its stolen...its legally my fault.

Better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
