every time I go hunting with my uncle and his friends they pull this canadian shit on me I always laugh. They insist on going hunting ad going on and on about how special their guns are or how powerful.
Yet I take down the same game if not bigger with my hoyt compound bow lol.

But OH just to for you americans, since you insist on saying tims is shit (which it is) Dunkin donuts is shit as well.

just kidding brother haha. Not even trying to fight, was seriously just curious why you would carry that since I assumed it was for protection, not hunting.

figured as much no worries brother, completely understand.
And I really have no problem with firearms at all. Although I do find american gun culture too relaxed, I also find Canadian gun culture too strict. Rather have somewhere in between. But its all good dude.

I figure its safe to assume location matters a lot as well, figure I know I can't drive around toronto (where I live) with my bow, granfors burks axe and a folding saw in the back seat and not expect to get in some serious trouble if pulled over as to why I have a bow with arrows beside it etc. vs when I'm up north camping/hunting a provincial police officer won't even question it as it makes sense why i have it with me. as long as I'm not speeding or have open alcohol they wouldn't care at all lol.

How did a thread about mounting/storage/transport locations in our trucks turn into an argument with a Canadian about gun policies and laws?

AR-15s and AKs aren't sold automatic to the general law-abiding public, in the USA. Move on with life.

If somebody talks about guns, somebody else always feels the need to speak against them, weather it's invited or not. If you read the entire thread you'll see that the topic is more often about different state laws and what people consider "unsafe" or "unnecessary", than it is about actually mounting a gun in your truck. Happens every time.

True story bro. But firearms have their own special place in most people's passions. Weather they're for or against guns, alot of people are very passionate about this issue.

Didn't mean to thread jack was just curious. And I always look at them because they give me ideas on ways to mount other things in the cab

On number one, I can't tell you how many times I have come across some gophers or other pests on a family members property and kicked myself for not having a rifle.

Well not all Californians agree with our ridiculous gun laws. Your comment is way too generalized, it's like a Californian saying everyone from a Georgia is married to their cousin, or two.

One nice thing about California is everyone else assumes we don't carry. Like I said a few comments above, you just might be surprised. Californians just have to be creative. At least that's what I've heard.

"I'd hate to know how SOME of our Kalifornia comrades here would react to a full gun rack like was so popular just a few years ago. They'd probably create a hashtag and hold up signs in traffic or something."

Didn't think that was very generalized.

And my cousin is hot AF. :anonymous:

Now that's better. Only "some" of the idiots we have living here. And trust me, I hate them too.

I picked up one of these yesterday at the Bass Pro Memorial Day sale for $15. Sure, it's not a console safe, but it will be a problem for the simple smash & grab on the rare occasion I have to leave my pistol in the truck:

Sorry, my mistake. I'll admit when I'm wrong and I should have read this a little closer.

But I wanted to make a point that just because some people live in CA, myself included, we do not at all agree with the politics. Our governor is a complete idiot and I honestly think that our gun laws will eventually be loosened because more and more people are finally seeing just how ridiculous these politicians are. As far as I'm concerned, it can't happen soon enough. When I said we have to be creative, people can get a CCW here but you have to jump through a lot of hoops. I'll add, I'm a pretty good jumper myself. I lived in Oregon for a couple of years and you basically just go down and apply for one and they give it to you. It's definitely not that simple here in CA. But it should be. I just don't point out what I have or where I have it. Element of surprise!
