I live in San Jose, CA and just got my Taco and Roof Top Tent. It's the fall/winter season so I can't get to the Sierras and explore right now.

Where can I go RTT from SJ, CA. Good views, good trees, good drive would be awesome. 1-2 hour drive is good.

    Get me started pls. :)

Rack was designed so bikes can still fit on the tailgate. Not too high, not too low.

Tent has only been up on the garden.

    PB080008.jpg
Tent has been turned 90 degrees to minimize footprint and make access from the tailgate easier. Cover hangs over the cab too.

    rack has been powdercoated.

I know this is old, but I'm looking for a rack just like yours. High enough for bikes, low enough to save on gas as much as possible. Can you tell me where you got your rack? Or if it's custom, how many inches above the bed or rails it is?

It’s totally free and open to camp right on the beach and a fun off-road drive to get there.
Probably about 4 hrs from SJ though.

I've never heard of this place, but live in the Bay Area. I will have to check this out.

you can but it's not really a good place to camp, unless you're riding dirt
