And majority of brocoma around here look exactly like that. Hidden winch bumper with winch, rack, traction board, RTT, awning, rear bumper with swingout and Jerry cans.

I think BAT would be happy to take some of OPs money. Clean truck.

Like everyone is saying, "expect $0.10 on the dollar"(just a saying) for mod cost, and itll probably do pretty well. If you want more out of it, then part it out as best you can.

I’ll port some recovery gear over. Radios are well integrated and frankly older gen,
some could. Most is older generation matching the MY of the truck (like the OEM rigid fogs). I’ll either let her go with most or pull and part what doesn’t disrupt the appeal. The problem with partially parting is you end up with a semi Frankenstein.

I agree. At a minimum long travel and 35s if you're gonna throw around 'rig' and 'built'

Truth. There’s not much differentiation other than quality parts, install, and use. The handful of sponsored extreme rigs I think are even harder to move because they’ve become so specialized.

We all have a very different definition of the term "built"

Just know that aftermarket parts add minimum value when trying to resell your vehicle. At best, quarter or so on the dollar. Don't expect to tac on the possible value and money that was invested during your ownership. Most make their money back by part out and reinstall factory parts back on.

My only recommendation is remove all the easy take off offs and smaller parts that would sell on here, first off they're easy to remove, easy to ship, aren't hugely expensive and are desirable. When included in the truck sale, those small bolt-ons will have little impact on the truck price but they're easily sold on here or FBM/CL. Good luck, you have a nice truck.

I had great luck with a dealership. The salesman had a guy looking for a built out Tacoma and the salesman had following mine on instagram (just a weird coincidence. When I mentioned selling it, he basically made an offer I couldn't walk away from, on behalf of the guy interested. Was super easy.

Usually dealers are not the best spot as they don't talk into consideration mods. But, I'd try privately first and if you don't have your luck then try your hand with a dealership. Also, you might be able to find someone interested in the facebook groups.

Best places: Here, FB Marketplace, Craigslist, Bring a Trailer....pick your poison. List the truck on all of em if you wish.
Best approach: Remove whatever mods possible and sell separately

You need to have 50+ posts to post anything in for sale section or you get banned for a week by trying to go around and post in an unrelated thread. I hinted about wanting to sell something and was given a time out. This is helping my post count. Im almost there!

Kbb said trade-in $33-36.7K, stock, very good condition.

    Private sale, $34-38K.

If you can get $33K for a trade-in, I say jump on it fast. Tax savings also.

Unfortunately, when I see aftermarket suspension work, skid plates, and hear about a tune, I immediately think “messed with and probably abused”.

I’m sure you installed everything correctly and the truck was a pavement princess, but I’m guessing folks old enough to have the money you are probably going to ask for it think the same thing. The younger folks who will likely love the modified truck look probably don’t have the money to buy it.

The best money in used vehicles is a well maintained stock rig that the salesman can say “was driven by a little old lady who only drove it to church on Sunday”.

I second / third the Bring a Trailer suggestion. BaT allows you to upload videos as well, so you can record cold starts and do a walk around. I’d also take photos of the truck on a lift so you can really demonstrate the quality of the parts and installation.

Anything you can do to overcome the “used and abused” prejudice against modded vehicles will benefit you.

Same, steer clear of modded vehicles for those very reasons. Too many red flags. Shoot…won’t even buy used anymore, too many unknowns.
