Where to source heads for the 5VZ-FE 3.4L

Hmmm that is weird. Try calling them and asking, they were super friendly and helpful…but they did have 3.4 heads on the website last year too…

 

Time and demand never stops .

Then some vendors tend to not keep up on web site updates.

 

True.
And they seem to work on anything so worst case you send your old heads in and have them refurb them (assuming neither of them is cracked)

 

I believe a crack, will know for sure within a week or so

 

What makes you think you have a cracked head? From your pfp it looks like you have a 95-97: the composite head gaskets are usually the fuse in those earlier 5VZs while the later MLS engines are more likely to crack the heads when overheated.

 

I had the heads both done back in October (refurb'd my OEM's). My guy could have missed the crack or it developed after. Happened with cyl 4, it just burning off again. Same problem I had before

Just found out it was a crack in the head (left). One is on way for Wednesday. Glad the mystery is solved
