Where to tap footwells light to come on with domelight

That was my point. Dimming on and off is sexiest AF and using the diagram I posted will easily allow that to be done. It’s a luxury to not be immediately blasted by your approach lights late at night.

 

You definitely bought the wrong luxury vehicle.
I also suggest anyone duplicating it should change ALL lights involved to LED's. Overhead, Maps & Vanity mirrors. Others have already gone the route of making the interior & exterior like a TRON vehicle and have regretted it. The circuit and wire is very small gauge for a reason...

 

‍♂️ Theirs nothing wrong with the Tacoma having dimming approach lights. FYI approach lights are located outside the vehicle which is what our conversation has been based not sure why you’d refer to interior RGB lighting. Yes the power wire is very small and if you use the wire diagram I provided you can run a dedicated power supply with fuse from the battery and used the switch ground to get dimming lights.

 

To be honest it’s hard to follow any point you may be trying to make when you just post a wire diagram with no context. With that said this conversation isn’t going anywhere, I’ve already accomplished this work with the diagram I posted earlier with no issues. Not sure why you keep posting different diagrams. Anyways enjoy the rest of your day.

Any wire in the A pillar I could tap into and run back to bantomx as a trigger to turn on rock lights in proximity or locking/unlocking? I tried purple wire at cargo switch, no dice

 

Purple and the yellow on the A pillar are both negative triggers. You'll need to switch the jumper on the BamtamX, which in turn would change all inputs to the module to negative. I don't think you'd want that.

 

I did switch the jumper when attempting to tap into the purple wire on cargo switch earlier, it had no negative effect on my other switches however

 

What did you do to tap into the purple?
Where the cab & map lights ON?
Was the door open?

 

Good news, purple wire still may be a go, upon inspection my posi tap never punctured the purple wire, due to it being too big, wrong gauge, I've ordered proper size, will be here Sunday, I really wish I had a harness to intercept rather then puncture factory wires.
