If you were to win the lottery, where would you consider moving to?
    U.S. Mainland?
    Hawaii?
    Alaska?
Buy a boat and sail where the wind takes you?

Wouldn't move. I'm where I want to be. Kent Ohio. I would have me a little place in Eastern Tennessee to go to in the mountains.

either somewhere local to San Diego but a bit more secluded with land, or somewhere in Europe. Italy specifically

How big a lottery are we talking? That's going to influence people's decisions.

I'd buy as much land as I could somewhere in the mountains (west, rockies) that was away from people, build my container home and shop, disconnect from everything, roam my land, shoot my guns, and not give two shits about anything.

I'd definitely just buy a considerably large chunk of land somewhere central to most of my family. We would build homes to our likings and call it a day.

    Sounds good to me.
I like Tennessee, but my wife doesn't like the humidity. Maybe the western side of the Rockies, or Idaho. All I need is a comfortable home, a good shop, a place to shoot, few people, and strong FO vibe.

I’d buy back the family farms and property I grew up on. And a large farm in the midwest to archery hunt every fall. Maybe a cabin in Montana.

Barbados. Beautiful island. Wonderful people. Plenty of ex-pats and out of the hurricane belt. My wife and I spent our honeymoon there 40 years ago and it keeps drawing us back
Turks and Caicos is the second choice but unfortunately it is in the hurricane belt.

    Sick and tired of snow.

Dare I say it, Northern and Southern California for the weather. If you're that rich the rest of the baggage from that state doesn't matter.

Hawaii has some really nice places. Hayden Lake, Idaho has some really nice lake front properties. Scottsdale, AZ is nice in exclusive parts as well. Parts of Florida might be fun for the theme parks.

If I was that wealthy I'd have a 2-3 properties and rotate depending on weather, seasons and things I wanted to do.

Speaking of sail boating. I really like the "Sailing Zatara" YouTube channel for all the places they visit. "Keep Your Daydream" is a fun RV YouTube channel too.

Just saying I wouldn't move there, especially if I won the lottery, because if I ever decided to move they'd screw me on exit.

Fair enough. If it were something that left me with 3-5M in after the taxes, I wouldn't change where I am. I'd just improve the lot and build me a little house.

If it were something that left me with 200-700M after taxes, I'd still keep the land I have but probably buy what is around me because I don't like having neighbors. I'd go see places I've wanted to, and if any really tripped my trigger, I'd get a place there to live as well. Some part of rural Japan, maybe.
