where's the transmission dip stick at?

    I just got a tacoma not too long ago. I just changed the oil, but where's the transmission fluid go? I can't find a dip stick. 06 tacoma 4.0L 4x4

    There is no dipstick for the A/T. To fill, you would need to use fill plug on the tranny.

    Yeah, there's a procedure that requires you get the ATF into a certain temperature range to check fluid level. PITA
    Awesome write-up by Mountain Lion on flushing and checking level.

    It's between the timing belt and distributor cap right (grease fittings on the prerunner models)?

    The 2012 prerunner also has grease fittings on the drive shaft.
