    HD900/5 or PDX-V9?

I was offered a good deal on HD900/5 but I hear that the PDX-V9 has more features and cheaper.

    Any advice on which one?

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
JL Audio would be my pick between those two but I am bias. I know the old Alpine PDX had issues with noise.

I heard about that supposedly the new model got rid of that issue. I'm not really worried about price more so quality.

Both are great amps I, myself would choose the JL Audio.

I went from a pdx-5 to a pdx-v9 and haven't had a problem with either one. IMO the Jl is overpriced.

On paper the Alpine is better due to it's higher signal to noise ratio frankly I'd go with the Alpine just for the lower price because the little thing's that make it different aren't going to be noticeable running mid level speakers.

What do you mean by mid level speakers?

Speakers such as Alpine, Kenwood, most Pioneer's, basically most stuff that you can buy from Crutchfield. They are great speakers but aren't the absolute best to be had. When I say high level I'm referring to ScanSpeak, Hertz Mille, speakers of that nature that are in the thousands of dollar range.
