IMG_1723.jpg IMG_1722.jpg Have a 2017 Sport 2wd and want to lift and run 275 70 17. Will prob do minimal if any off-road light trails. I'm new to all this and have gotten lots of advice from people and now I'm asking you guys which of these you would choose and why. They are close in price although the bilstein setup will come with light racing UCA's. Need your advice thanks.

They're only close in price because the Bilsteins come with the UCAs (worth about $500). Fox are performance coilovers, Bilstein 5100s are essentially stock shocks that you can use to lift your truck. The Fox setup will ride much better, but without aftermarket UCAs you might run into alignment issues depending on how much lift you want out of them.

5100s ride just fine for mostly street use IMO, the Fox setup might be overkill for what you seem to want them for. I have 5100s myself (with OME 881 coils) and they're a little stiff but they get the job done. I wheel with them often and they've held up fine, but don't expect to be going fast down those dirt roads with them. They won't last long if you do and it won't be comfortable at all. If you want off-road+speed capability, go with the Fox setup. And consider adding UCAs to the kit if you plan on lifting above 2.5" or so.

Should look at 6112 bilstein way better shock than 5100 better ride quality will take a good beating also.

I'd just actually call Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and talk through your situation with her.

She's guided lots of folks with decisions like this.

Internet shopping is fine and dandy, but it will never replace speaking with a knowledgeable person.

haha, I agree...Marie is great. She'll chime in here I'm sure since she was tagged, but call her up and she'll give you good run down of your options for the price point you have in mind.

    Lol, its pretty basic honestly.

Leaves you the opportunity to add to it at a later date

while still getting a good looking lift for a good price

My friend has 5100's, he agrees mine is a much nicer ride (fox2.0). Plus I got 3" of lift, used a quarter inch spacer and four turns on the passenger side, and a three eights spacer and six turns on the driver side. ( not harsh at all ) He is switching.. Make sure also do the upper control arms..
