Which battery for a 2011 with a 4L? It originally came with a 24F but all the web sites state 27F.

    Isn't the 27F taller, requiring a longer battery hold-down?

Or should I just stay 24F?

    Thanks

The 27f is larger and used with the tow package. A 24f will be fine, if that's what you have now. The 27f is longer, but I think the height and width is the same as a 24f.

A few mods here and there and counting....
24F is the most common size. 27F is recommended for the tow package. I have a Autozone Duralast gold 27F running on 6.5years. About to replace it soon, its wearing down but hot damn it got my money's worth.

Mine just died last month. I replaced the stock battery with a NAPA Legend 27F as both are suitable replacements. The height was fine and did not touch the hood.

That battery works fine in my tractor with a 20 amp alt. Don't let the capacity fool you. You charge slower with a less amp alt
