USAF May 05- current. Just returned from deployment in Afghanistan with the 101st Airborne. Crazy guys to be stuck around when you're one of very few females (even fewer that actually look like females ;)). Great group of people but the experience justified my reasoning for going into the AF instead of the Army... no offense... but you guys get shafted more times than not.

I love working in a joint enviroment- we all get along so well :smack:

Couldn't vote as I am in the Canadian Navy. (Yes there is a Canadian Navy!) Curently posted to Quality Assurance at the Canadian Forces Naval Operations School. My trade involves Electroninc Warfare and Fire Control. Will retire in 618 days and at that time I'm getting a vanity plate that reads: DUN SALN

I did that Somali pirate thing last year. We were the first ship there and got to hang off Mogadishu for awhile. Not a very friendly bunch over there. Seemed like they wanted to have a fire fight at the airport every night! Oh well we escorted ships carrying enough food for 180,000 people for one year. That is if the warlords didn't end up with it.
I also spent 8 months in the Gulf in '02 and '3 doing high value escorts up through the Straits of Hormuz, another not so friendly place. We were just off Bahrain on the 20th of March '03 when the Iraq war started.
Lots of other jaunts here and there all over the world, but I'm ready for a rest. Maybe drive a tractor for a farmer, never heard tell of a tractor taking a missile hit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
