current set-up on my 3rd gen taco......
bilstein 5100 with ome885 coils, sitting on 265 70 17 wildpeaks an fuel rebel rims with a ''0'' offset.

I just bought the ome887 coils with a 1/8 spacer to eliminate the dreaded taco lean, MY QUESTION is what UCA do you recommend? I want to go 285 70 17 when I add the 887 but wouldn't I run into alignment issues? or rubbing issues?

    All of them.
I had SPC and hated them. If you run had you'll go thru ball joints often. I have to JD Fab ones and couldn't be happier. Oem inner busiing and uniball outer with sealed upper cap that is greasable.

I've put 30k on mine in the last year or so with no problems, with wheeling some of the hardest trails around and hitting every curb jump around town

We have the OME UCA on our GX460. Very happy with this product.

When I purchased UCAs, what influenced my choice was the kind of ball joint that was used by the after market manufacturer. Some ball joints might provide more movement (uniball), but also require more maintenance because they are unsealed. Some are totally enclosed by a boot (full sealed ball joints), while others are exposed and require more cleaning and maintenance (unsealed). Another thing to consider is when you need to replace the ball joints, will you have to go to the aftermarket manufacturer to purchase them or did that manufacturer use industry standard ball joints?

The decisions are yours and what might work for my rig, might not be the best choice for your rig.

I just picked up a set of Freedom Off-Road UCAs from another Tacoma owner locally to go with my Fox 2.0s. They are the lower-end budget UCAs, but they seem to have decent reviews. Fully serviceable if needed and greaseable ball joints, just without the adjustability of the higher priced UCAs for more precise alignment purposes.

Haven’t installed yet, but these seem like a decent set. I am running 285/70/17’s but I get a little bumpsteer on the stock UCAs, which is why I picked these up for a decent price.

I’ve been considering the JD Fab UCA’s. Is the underside of the uniball sealed as well?

This may muddy the waters but it's a great source of information.

I'm happy with the performance of my Icon Delta joints. Of course now I have one more maintenance item every 5k miles to grease joints and bushings, and stock/use two different types of grease.

Ha yea that was the day my suspension package went in. Huge shoutout to Superdave 1.0. Him & I tackled it (well mostly him with me assisting) I had detailed the entire fender area beforehand for the install. They'll never be that clean again lol

SPC had a bad batch of balljoints, New ones should be good.

I run SPCs on my truck. I can set my lower cams to maximise rear wheel well clearance. Front cams all the way in, rear cams all the way out.

The SPCs are nice when in a few years down the road you realize that your alignment cams are rusted and seized, and you can still get aligned.

I ran JBA's on my 4runner and will do the same when I lift my tacoma. I liked the fact that they used a standard moog bolt in ball joint. made them very easy to change if something happened on the trail.
