I am troubleshooting an issue with my front turn signal bulbs - both left and right are out.
I replaced the bulbs and they still don't work.

The horn does not work either.

This new to me truck was deff submerged in water (thanks previous owner!) and I thought it may be an electrical short.

I checked all fuses and they are good - both in the engine bay and the interior fuses.

Here is my question. When I turn the hazzards on, the fog lights in the bumper blink.
Also, when the turn signal is on, the fog lights also blink in a steady manner.

So when the turn signal is on, the fog lights work fine and the rear turn signal lights work fine, but the front bulbs near the headlights don't work.

So, do your fog lights also blink when the turn signal is on?
Do your fog lights blink when the hazards are on?

I wonder what drawbacks would be if I tapped into the fog light wiring to get power to my front turn signal bubs. I think it would be a huge pain to follow the wires to look for a short.

Would this behavior lead to a bad blinker relay, switch or flasher??

    Thanks!

I really hope the truck Runs and drives without any codes and your just fixing odds and ends

No your Fog lights do not blink with Hazards or Turn Signals at least from the factory !!

No telling what strange things might have been done.

Have you cleaned out the Turn Signal sockets a fitting brush works good ??

time to test the sockets with a Meter .

Horns do die from being underwater and old age .

If this poor Truck was under water you have your work cut out .

Any idea how deep the water was or how long it was under ??

Normally on the 01-04 Tacoma, the clear lights down in the bumper are turn signals with an amber colored bulb. The small corner lights next to the headlights are usually called parking or clearance lights. They come on with the headlight switch and are not supposed to blink.

You're welcome. There are no factory foglights on 1st Gen Tacomas, so I'm pretty sure your hazards/turn signals are working. Do the parking lights come on with your headlights?

Completely normal for a 1st gen. Corner lights by the headlights are just marker lights. The ones in the bumper are the turn signals.
Fun mod is to move the turn signals to the corner lights when you upgrade the bumper.
