    ^^THIS! I'm positive you could order the light hoops from AP and modify them to fit the trail gear. I would have to agree that the trail gear bumper is stronger than the AP as well. I to was looking at the trail gear when first purchasing a
    bumper, but ended up going with AP due to the fact the shop I was buying from was an AP dealer.

    Thanks for all the input guys! I do like the idea of getting the hoops from AP and mounting them on a TG bumper. It would definitely be unique...and as far as the body lift problem, I think I could probably call them and ask if they could just make the mounts 2" lower for me...don't see why it would be a problem. And then I could get my stock (or other types of skids besides AP) to work. I would love that best of both worlds deal. And also, as far as the mounts go, if I get them done lower for future references, I could just drill another set of holes if that body lift ever disappears!

    lol because of a meth head slamming on his brakes i'm in the same boat as you OP, stuck between the two.

    The TG is a more versatile bumper, but the AP one is sexy...

    hey dell....since you're here....

    how did you mount your blinkers on your bumper? Havent seen the stock box used like that before

    Great finally found a 95-97 with that bumper model. I'm very hesitating between the loop or low profile style... Could also buy a low profile and add some custom grill guard. Wish I could buy an ARB but here in Canada they end at like 1200$ once delivered, duty clears and taxes. Too much expensive. Trail gear on the other hand still deliver a very good product for the money!

    I don't like the fact the two braces posts are on front of the headlight of the loop model. Are you seeing a difference when night driving?

    About the topic trail gear vs All pro... Personally I found the all pro tube model badly integrated to the vehicule. Would be nice if they would be some bumper built on someones backyard but not for production. On the other hand, I think their Apex plate bumper are very nice.

    What I mean by custom grill guard would be a very simple two flat bars slightly forward inclined and a crossover tube that is the same diameter as the one of the bumper.

    Maybe doing the same at both ends.

    I've tried to make them on paint brush... but beleive me it's better if I don't post.

    Trail Gear is definitely a strong bumper and is a good choice for price and strength. There was a guy a while back that rolled his truck and it landed on his TG front bumper and it only tweaked the side of the bumper a little bit. I've also seen a picture of an older Toyota pickup that rolled and was resting on the stinger with no damage to the bumper.

    Something like that or a custom hoop of some sort would be a good idea. A hoop would probably look better imo though.

    X2 on it being a strong bumper!

    Hey Box does it require cutting and welding to put the low pro TG bumper on or is it stock bolt on?

    It is 100% bolt on, unless you add the light hoop. The light hoop will need to be notched and welded on.

    Alright that ^^^ is badass...Another option to keep open I guess! It seems now that I also could use a good rear bumper with a receiver in it so I can ditch my stock tow hitch. Its turning into a weak spot to get hung up on.

    Edit: I also looked at their site, and I like that they offer the slider and bumpers as a package. That's really cool too.

    Trail Gear is the way to go. Can't beat the price point and the recovery point in the front is great. I used it with bud built skids and had no problem.

    TG=459
    AOR= 475
    AP=499

    Sounds right. I considered all of the above before making a purchase. The AOR bumper came highly recommended, and after talking to the guy, I was very pleased that he could make it exactly how I wanted it.

    I couldn't be happier with the durability, build quality, and looks of this bumper!

    Another photo of my TG bumper without the optional lightbar. I cut the lightbar off my Low profile bumper when I upgraded to these HID lights as I couldn't fit all three of them in the lightbar. I think I actually prefer the clean look of the low profile version without the lightbar.

    As of now I'm fairly set on the trailgear with the lightbar, as I want to get a u-bolt flip from them at the same time and that bumper seems to be everything I want from a trusted and highly regarded company. I will most likely buy the allpro hoops or have them made a little later. Again, thanks for all the input as that's why I love TW. But please don't quit posting yet!
