Which camera do you use to record offroad?

I'm wanting a camera to document my offroading experiences for IG and YouTube. I've heard a lot of negatives about GoPro. The area I am in requires the camera to work in some fairly hot conditions at times (New Mexico), a lot of trails are rock steps so stability is another feature for top my list of must haves. Just would like to see what the community uses in general.

I've never had any bad luck with GoPro. Older ones didn't handle cold well and low light can be iffy. I'm not sure what other complaints are out there.

 

Had quite a few reviews of GoPro overheating. Some saying battery usage pretty high and sometimes it would stop and to restart you would have to take out the battery to reset. I just am seein what people that are actually using them...and not bein paid to give a review...u know what I mean...thanks for your reply
