+1 for RAM Mount. I use the suction cup on the windshield though.

i have been using this magsafe wireless charger on my taco. it has a good hold as long as you are using a Magsafe case. and the charge is decent.

BTW since when is remotely acceptable to use the AC vents. or a CD tray. first the AC vents they break i know they are better in the newer cars but i have never found a clip on vent mount that manage to hold a heavy phone without looking depress.

I wanted a simple vent mount because that's where I'm use to my phone being. All I could find came with the articulating arm, I just wanted a vent mount and a magnetic head. The problem is vent mounts come with a 20mm ball and the magnetic heads are 17mm. I contacted Tackform and they sent out the vent mount, magnetic head and a replacement 17mm ball, works like a charm. I'll post some photos later today.

I have it mounted on the top of the vent now, with the arm still pointing up (and spun the vent around, so the vent doors are angled back down). My phone was blocking the vent when it was mounted like in the pic, so it would get very hot when the heat was on.

Love my ProClipUSA mount. One-handed drop-in gets me power and CarPlay - no shaking.

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
I have used this one for 3 years now, and it has worked very well. Best of all it has a 7.5w charger so you can do a fast charge of your phone. The charger in my 2016 Taco maintains the phone battery, but will not increase the charge.

Stick a magnet on the back of your phone or phone case and it attaches to the magnet on the holder.

I am also off road a lot, so major pounding and bouncing around and the phone stays in place with no issues.

    About $35 new.

I generally dislike having my phone at eye level when on the street, but I like having it & my iPad mini accessible for nav when offroading. I also have a Weathertech Cup holder mount that sits in passenger side cup holder in front of the gear shift. This is where I prefer my phone when on the street- I find it much less distracting.

While the rail system is permanent, I can easily remove the RAM balls to clean up the look of the dash.

My wireless charger in my 2022 TRD Sport works fine inside my OtterBox defender case. It is peculiar about placement on the pad, but it does work. I also use a WeatherTech CupFone that sits in a spare cup holder.

Well, I’m not very comfortable with wiring so I may have went a long route for the set up but it worked.
The quad lock is USB plug in so I got a harness from Amazon and just plugged everything and t tapped into the 12V

I always have gone super simple ... magnet on the dash, small steel plate on back of phone, 1.5' charging cord. It's right in front of me when I need it.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I608BJ8?ie=UTF8&th=1

Sticks anywhere, I don't like blocking the vents ... so this is my best solution. Have used on multiple vehicles .. it just works.
