So I lurked these forums some time last year when I first tossed up the idea of buying a third gen. A year later, here I am again a bit more committed.

What dealership/salesmen do you guys recommend in the so-cal area that took care of you?

I am looking for something very particular.
    Super white 4x4 OR DCLB
Am I being too picky? Did you guys just pick something off the lot? Is custom ordering an option?

My first dealership trip (san b) I had the fleet manager tell me there is one they can try to trade for locally but that they wont budge at all on price. (so far I only got them down from 37,xxx to 36,8xx because of the costco auto program.
I called another salesman in Riverside whom I purchased a vehicle from in the past (2014 highlander) and explained to him the particular vehicle I was looking for. He texted me back right now saying. We don't have that, I will let you know when we do.

Is finding the right tacoma really this hard? Any tips you guys suggest?

I went out to Alexander Toyota in Yuma and got great service and a great deal from their internet sales manager (Danny). There weren't a whole lot just sitting on lots in SD when I was looking around a month or two ago. You will have to pay an extra $300 or so in "dealership fees" in AZ, however, even with that mine was still cheaper than buying in SD.
