I contacted Eaton, and here's what they said:

    Hello Marc,
Thank you for the follow up. We do not currently make a Detroit Truetrac that will fit a 2008 Toyota Tacoma.

You may want to check with harrop.com.au as they have alternate fitments which are Eaton differentials that are modified to different fitments. They are fully supported and warranted by Harrop.

    Thanks,
    -Eaton Performance Support

And yet there's some of you fellow TW users who say they've installed and enjoy this product.
    Which did you get?

Hey @ajohnson, @MattCowsmasher, did you guys have to change your ring gear to add this? Did you end up buying the whole rear install kit, ring and pinion, spacer?
According to my axle code (A04A), I seem to have an 8" 3.727:1 gear ratio.
    Thanks for the help.

No I didn’t just the spider gears are replaced not the pinion gears. I did buy outer axle seals and the 3rd member gasket.

I bought the trutrac, 4.56 gears, master install kit and solid spacer from ECGS, pulled my diff and had a local guy set it up. You don’t need new gears if you want to keep the stock ratio. If you have higher miles, I recommend the master install kit and replace everything while the diff is out. Solid spacer is only necessary for off-roading.
