    I carry a G23 appendix with a light

No issues printing, but appendix carry takes some adjustment time and several holsters until it rides just right to not dig

My only handgun (so far) is my glock 26. I agree with everyone else saying go rent and shoot all of them. This is why I ended up with my 26 for concealed carry. I shot best with it! I'm definitely going to get more guns. I'm gonna get a 17 or 19 and customize it next. 9mm is cheaper than .40 and .45 and more controllable (in my opinion.)

I now have 2 23's because my left hand was jealous :) Actually it was a really good deal and I have too much 40 to switch. I recently bought a 43 and it is a great gun.

i'm thinking about picking up a 19. the more i look into converting my 23 to 9mm for the range, the less inclined i am to do it. best case, all you need is a barrel...worst case, barrel, guide spring, ejector...what started out as a simple swap, ain't so simple anymore.

I have carried all the Glock pistols you listed as duty firearms. Hands down I would go with the Glock 19. I also currently carry the 19 for duty. This is also the number one sold Glock in the world for a reason. High capacity mags, easy to conceal and carry for duty and very reliable.

For your stated use, you might consider full size - 17 or 21. Then it comes down to what size fits you best and how much you want to spend on ammo. The 21 is a large weapon for a large hand. Since you mention this purchase is on a bit of a budget, you might want to save a few bucks on ammunition and go with the 17.
Glocks; some love them, some hate them. No matter what group your in, almost no one will say they aren't a good reliable tool for the job. I own 5 and am shopping for number 6, so I'm in the group that appreciates what they are. I also own Kimber, Sig, Beretta, etc. and wouldn't discourage shopping any other brands, but that's not what you asked. As long as the weapon is reliable, safe and accurate it's a matter of personal preference, fit and cost. Anybody that specifically states one brand unequivocally is doing a disservice.

For anyone interested... There is a book out "Glock, The Rise of America's Gun". Very interesting book about the humble beginnings of the Glock Company. I am not a big Glock fan, but they are definitely among the most reliable handguns available.

Where does one buy a Glock? Local? Gunbroker.com?

I'm wanting a gen 3 19, preferably NOS. There are a bunch on gunbroker, but is that legit?

Is using my range as the FFL kinda bad juju? (Why not buy from my range? It's cheaper at GB).

    ooh

You should be able to find a new Gen 3 19, but a used will be OK too from a reputable place and you'll save a good amount of money

I've never paid more than $400 for a used Glock I dont think

Wow......This is a tough question. I'm with pistols, the way my Wife is with purses. Summer day in the park? Glock 43. Chilly out? Glock 26. Flat out cold? Glock 17/20/22....

Out on a nice night out....I gotta carry the Sig. I mean..German precision ya know.

On my DGAF days........open carry the .44 mag............I digress......

James Yeager is homo. But I agree with that statement. Unless you can pony up enough cash for a 1911 or wheel gun
