So my stock head unit is on its last leg and I figured I would use this annoyance as an opportunity to upgrade. I want a double din HD radio and these three seem to fit the bill, but not quite sure why I should choose one over the other. I primarily listen to FM radio, and really like the HD radio in my wifes car.

Also this may be a good time to upgrade the front door 6x9's. I am not installing an amp, just looking for a small upgrade (especially in the bass department) if anyone here can suggest something. Thanks!

The excelon has the best specs, and it's got a clean look. You'll obtain significant clarity improvement, but as with most head units don't expect it to play loudly without backing the bass off. Consider picking up a power pack amp if kenwood makes one.

I'm usually brand loyal to Kenwood, so I'd go with that one.

You want a double din, for another $100-$150 you could get the touchscreen style and be able to interface your iPhone/android if you have one to listen to your music and use apps like gps and use Bluetooth calling. No hd radio, but there are apps on iPhone and android for that I think, or go up to the $700 range and they start offering hdradio from what I read. I like the pioneer ones http://www.crutchfield.com/p_130X2700BS/Pioneer-AVH-X2700BS.html
plus you can pick up a backup camera for like $20 on Amazon and have it display through the head unit. Food for thought or maybe not ;)

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
I run Pioneer decks myself (currently Pioneer DEH-PRS80). They have some great stuff, but you're not looking at them so...

I voted Clarion. I've had a good number of their decks and like the sound quality. The overall build quality. And the value- more features for your dollars. And in the choices you've listed Clarion is the best!!!

I don't think pioneer sells a double din Hd radio other than their DVD systems, otherwise I would consider them.

Also I perfer Hd radio over a DVD screen. Toyota put my backup camera in the mirror so no need for a screen.

Do you have pictures of what this looks like installed? This appears to be the same Kenwood radio I'm considering but without Hd.

I will admit, it is hard to read the screen at times during the day. It could be better in that aspect.
