Every freaking large diameter vacuum hose connected to the engine is a molded hose, even the straight ones. You might consider buying all of them since they are starting to discontinue some of them. I bought all online (including the main intake hose, $150) and if I remember correctly it cost me about $300.

Pure coincidence? Maybe, but after putting the new factory formed hose back on and running the exact same route with the same fuel (Exxon) both ways and not touching any thing else and nearly same outside temps the truck went back to 18 mpg. I didn’t even clear the ECU as No codes were displayed before.

Unless you had an imperfect seal and therefore vacuum leak and therefore false MAF reading, there's nothing at all physical that could have caused that with that hose.

I had the regular temporary vacuum hose clamped also sprayed starting fluid on the hose to check for leaks and idled normal ~700 rpm, and I had replaced the MAF sensor about a week before the temporary vacuum hose was installed. I’m not sure what happened and would like to know but for 544 miles the truck drank the fuel and miraculously came back to normal and didn’t drive it after the previous trip until the factory formed hose was put back in place…Really weird circumstance for sure.

Hey what’s up? Wondering if you could help after seeing your engine bay setup is just like mine? 02 Prerunner dbl 3.4. The breather hose from the intake air hose that runs into the rear of R intake manifold. It’s plugged to a 90° hollow valve/fitting of the R manifold. Do you have the part number or know of what I can use in place; and is that thing supposed to slide right off because mine does. Can you shoot pics of under the hood with sections of the hose diagram? Looking for something really detailed has been difficult. I’ve attached pics of what I’m asking

It's part number: 12262-62060 Ventilation Hose No. 2. The diagram on the toyota parts store is misleading- shows a 2.7l.. but Toyota Parts Deal has the correct image for it:

It's pretty damn expensive for a hose. I wouldn't pay that, and just get some silicone vacuum line and send it...

Here is a thread where I asked about this awhile back. Contains some good information about the PCV system on the 3.4l
