I'm confused what you're trying to do. You want to stack a spacer lift on top of Kings with 700# springs?

Here's what you should do. Get King 2.5's. If you have no weight in front (no bumpers, skids, sliders), 650# is perfect. A 700# spring may result in less "preload," sure, but your ride quality is going to be stiff as hell.

Get real upper control arms that allow for caster adjustment (JBA, SPC, Total Chaos...).

Lift your front 2.5" or so. The more you spin that collar down to get a bro-lift, the more you decrease downwards suspension travel.

If you don't like the rear of your truck being higher (which I don't understand because rear rake means you actually do shit), then remove one of the leafs from your HD Dakar pack. Or, consider swapping it out to Deavers because Dakars suck, squeak, and sag overtime. Ask me how I know.

    Orrrr....

Stack a spacer on top of that king and just say fu** it. Let us know how the ride quality is though. And if you're stacking a spacer, make SURE you get that 700# spring. Oh and at that point, you don't need UCA's. Stock will do.

Decided I'm going with 2.5" lift and dealing with my 2" rake. Rake doesn't mean "you do shit." Rake means your rear is higher than your front. That's it. Lol
Anyways, thanks for all the help. Sorry I woke some of y'all up.

I have king 2.5s up front with 700lb springs on my 4cylinder. It was a big mistake, ill be going back down to 600s when i rebuild my shocks. I got 3" of lift but every time i go over a bump the coil binds causing a loud bang. Id avoid 700s unless youve got a fully armored 4wd with a winch and front bumper. 650s will work good if you want to lift the front with minimal preload on the coils

Yeah I have a double cab, 4wd, V6 that I plan to build a steel bumper for in the future. Maybe I'll just swap coils in the future when I build it.

Id go 650s and upgrade to 700s later if they wont support all the weight

Exactly what I did, I went with 650's set at 2.5 but adjusted the driver's side for the lean.

Not sure how that’s possible. Rear height stock is 22” center wheel to fender. I have Dakars too and have never had it above 2.75” even with the HDs. Front stock height is 21” center wheel to fender

Also, 700# coils is a better call on the 3rd gens (especially if you run any additional front weight) since that is the stock coil weight and the 3rd gen is 300lbs heavier in the front than the 2nd gen

You know a little front rake is good right?

How do they ride at 2.5” and 650 coils?

I'm on vacation right now so I'll have to take hub-fender measurents when we get home but my ground to fender with 265/70/17 tires was between 39.5" - 40" and I know for a fact I was sitting at around 35 7/8" - 36" prior to lift and tires. No idea how I'm getting so much lift in the rear.
I'm down for rake. I honestly like the look of rake more than I do leveled. But I've got 2" of rake AT LEAST and that's because the 888s are sagging like old tits. So I decided I was gunna ditch um and get adjustable coilovers and this forum peer pressures everyone into just buying the best so that's what I'm doing.

Yah don’t measure from the ground. Not accurate and too many variables

Get 700# coils if you don’t want sag in the future (a must on 3rd gens). I had the 2888 coils which are a 590# coil and they sagged for me to...stupid not to do my research first

Running Eibach 700# coils now and they are cherry

Pretty sure your tires are like 1.5" or so bigger than stock.

Like I'm on clouds honestly. Winch with synthetic cable goes in this weekend. Hopefully it doesn't change the ride to much.

They are bigger but only 1" total diameter which equates to about 0.5" of actual lift added. But you're right
