I am looking to just lift my 2006 Double Cab Tacoma. I have looked at the Rough Country SST lift kit for $249.00 or the Ready Lift for $249.00. I already have aftermarket Belstine front shocks on but not sure how old or what model. They were on when I bought the truck. The Rough Country comes with N2.0 series shock absorbers.
Does anyone have experience with either one of these lifts? Which one would you recommend and why? Or is there another lift kit you would recommed around the same price range? Looking to stay round $350ish.

Not a expert but, from what i have learned here if you don't want to screw stuff up, and don't want a terrible ride, your gonna need to depend maybe 600$

Thanks Monster Coma. I have heard that AAL makes for a rougher ride is that not true?

    Welcome to TW

Most people on here will advise to stay away from spacer lifts and lift blocks. Spacers in the front limit the travel and often cause the shock to break.

    See pic here

I would save up and get this lift: http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Bilstein-Adjustable-lift-kit-with-5100-shocks_p_132.html
MUCH better than spacers and blocks and will not cause issues mentions above.

Also, here is a guide to the various types of lift kits and their pros and cons:

    Hope this helps.

Not the one I posted. If you bought a single leaf AAL that was 2" thick then yeah I can imagine it would. I have the AAL I posted and it rides just fine

Is that a pretty easy install geekhouse23? How many hours would you say it would take for someone that has never done something like this before?

Was considering lifting my 2011prerunner 2.5 inches in front to accommodate for a larger 265/75-16 from the stock 245/75r16 tire with aftermarket wheels. Will the truck sit pretty level without doing any thing to the rear

265/75/16s will fit without lift. But if you are lifting 2.5" in the front I'd recommend a .5-1" lift in the rear as well

Bilstein 5100s set at .85 will keep your truck level without an aal or set them at 1.75 with an aal
