Which lug nuts for TRD FJ Trail Team wheels?

Recently bought TRD Trail Team (Matte black) wheels from a TW member and am about to put them on and go get my alignment. However, they didn't come with lug nuts and all I have are my chrome lugs. Which would be laughable on the TRD wheels

So which lug nuts do I need for TRD Trail Team wheels? I wasn't aware that there were different kinds but apparently there are. If there is a general consensus on the best place to get them from, please let me know. I would like a locking set as well, but it isn't necessary. I have seen black TRD lugs and RED TRD lugs, am not sure how the red would look but I am open to it.

Lastly, do tire shops (Firestone for me) sell lug nuts? If so, are they overpriced? Thanks in advance!

When I purchased some black trail team rims they came with alloy lugs in the box. I would call your local dealer and try some tire shops.

 

I guess I can ask the guy I bought them from if he is willing to ship them but I can't quite treat it like I bought them from the company lol

 

If I recall correctly, when I got mine, the lug nuts were virtually identical to the ones that I removed from the factory mags.

The TT wheels come with a silver colored lug nut (not black) which I thought would be ugly - but they're set so deep in the wheel the color is irrelevant.

 

I like the chrome on mine. It's about the only chrome I left on the truck. Think it contrasts the black great.

 

My parents bought my truck with chrome rims on it, and they also can't be used with the TT wheels I found out. No worries though, I have the right kind.

Well I went to Firestone today and they told me their metal heads would scratch my painted rims if they aligned my truck. PITA, but I am grateful they told me. I will be going to a different alignment shop, which is a bit of a let down because I get 25% discount at Firestone. Oh well. I am about to go put on my chrome lug nuts I paid $80 for... I didn't realize how costly lugs were or I may not have bought these wheels. I got them for what I thought was a good deal, $500 but apparently TRD lugs are $130... So I may as well have bought brand new rims. Anyway, thank you guys for your help.

Yeah I mentioned it in the above post, it cost me nearly $80. But I am still looking for new lug nuts and when I find cheaper ones I will be taking these back $$$

 

Look online on summit racing. I just went thru the same thing, bought my truck used that already had aftermarket wheels on it. I bought a set of FJ wheels and powder coated them then found out they took the shank style lugs but the aftermarket had acorn seat lugs. Went all over town trying to find lugs that fit then found them a lot cheaper on summit. $30 for a set of 20 compared to $70 for 24 at autozone.

 

That's great. Since they only sell 20 I should just get 4 locking.

Can you tell me more about you powdercoating them?
