getting time for some new shoes for the 2015 before the white shit starts falling again. Went to Sam's and there are now four michelins??? A defender LTX, A Michelin x A/s, A LTX A/T2, Premier LTX.... I drive 90% highway and 10% off-road hunting/fishing... I want the 70k tire but are there any good thoughts on which one and why? Yes, I used the search bar thanks...

sticking with a stock size (or even one size up). You wont get better than an SL rated Defender LTX M/S

Why: It's the best all around tire , hands down.

    Dont forget the rebate:
    1. Get $100 via Mastercard® Reward Card after submission when you buy a set of four new MICHELIN® passenger or light truck tires with a rim size of 18” or larger. (MICHELIN® passenger or light truck tires with a rim size of 17” or smaller qualify for a $50 Reward Card).

^^^^This I have the same situation as you and have not had a problem with the LTX M&S. Got 90,000 out of a set I had on my 2004. Put them on my 2015 within the first 500 miles. Starting 9/4 Costco has a $110 off the Michelin's. Don't know if they qualify for the Master Card rebate or not.

I have the A/T2s and they are also great all around but have more bite than the LTXs (had them on my 89 Suburban and they also were great). They are pretty quiet on the street and handle off road well - look at ratings on tirerack site. My second set on now and 60K warranty which you get but I usually switch out about 55K as live in FL with lots of rain. Drove 18k miles to AK and back and never an issue. Both tire types are great you just need to decide more street or more bite. As an added bonus when I switched to Michelins the steering was more responsive as the tires tracked/held the road much better.
