    What Kind of speakers did you end up going with? And did you also get an amplifier, or were the speaker upgrades good enough?

    The tweeters were plug-n-play from a Subaru. Search this forum and you will find them. That's how I learned about them. They are amazing.

    I don't recall the brand of front door speakers, but again search this forum. Just a good pair from Best Buy IIRC. Since I had to pull the interior door panels off to change the speakers, I got a roll of boom mat. I didn't go crazy - just was careful and used scissors and tried to apply it to all the bare metal without interfering with the wiring harness or panel fasteners. I've always said "pride" isn't the greatest of human characteristics, but I was really pleased with the outcome of this DIY project. Took me a weekend afternoon.

    No, no amplifier. Not my cup of tea. I'm not that guy who is thumping the bass in the vehicle next to you at the stop light.
