Which mods hold the best value for resale?

i have gotten many great deals or free item thru facebook market, tacomaworld and craigslist. Most of the time i been able to get 50% off for brand new item and 50 to 70% for used most of the time. The Prinsu roof rack has been an item that are made of gold, used for 500 to 650 with missing hardware !! Was able to get an RSI Shell for 2250 assemble and install that retail for 4000 brand.

 

Anything with very limited availability, or long wait times; ex: SCS wheels, color matched camper shells, armor

Kidding, kinda.. But really, take a look at the marketplace here, and check out some asking prices for some of these parts. Bonus points if you find the "SOLD" ads with prices still listed. Thats a pretty good indicator of what these parts are going for used.

A bunch of guys at work bought Harleys when the craze was really hot around 2005/2009ish. Several of those guys said they were increasing the value of their motorcycles with expensive saddle bags, airbrush paint jobs, and everything else you can possibly bolt onto a Harley. One guy told me it was an investment.
Yeah that did not pan out.

A guy seldom wants your customization, they want their own customization either done by them or for them. Plus I know that I personally will tend not to consider buying a car, truck, or motorcycle if it looks customized or modified. Got that nagging "this thing has probably been rodded and or put together wrong" thing in my mind. Plus I will think the guy wants too much because he is trying to recoup all he spent on his crap.
