Yes only the landscaping crew drives baby Taco I owned an 86 and then a 2006 base 4 cylinder, functional.... But if you’re gonna spend time in there get a few comforts. I like the TRD Sport model and off-road.

I just read dealer, aw hell no. Everything I read said v6 manual is the better choice. It took me 7 months to find one. Sounds like you need a camping off-road rig, which I do neither so can’t help ya there.

That blows. I wish people would be honest up front so they dont waste your time or theirs. All that does is piss the potential buyer off. But yes, with the dog, would be much better to have the extra space. Even for storage of your gear when you are sleeping in the bed. Goodluck with your search!

Entirely depends on the condition of each vehicle based on your scrutiny (particularly from underneath) and a mechanic’s inspection.

Is the private seller the only owner? Does he seem meticulous? Does he have maintenance records? What kind of driving was done with each vehicle? So many more variables than what you have posted.

    Stock for now.. maybe

Its to bad the v6 AC doesn't have a manual transmission. That would be perfect.
Or the 2.7L isn't an access cab... that would be perfect too.
    Good luck

Edit- just saw title /shit show issue... that sucks they didn't disclose earlier.

The 2008 four banger. Why? Manual. Full size truck bed. No problem. Considering your need this truck to do truck things.

Shit, I guess the 2011 auto is access cab and the bed that comes with it. But still vote for the 2008 cause it has less miles but mostly cause manual. Autotragic sucks so bad

Regular Cab trucks are for solo driving. Having four legged friends and a girlfriend, you'll wanna look at Access cabs at a minimum. I use my rear seat for handy storage and usually tuck the cooler back there as well.

I'm like you and came out of an SUV with a backseat that was never used at all, so an AC with the jump seats was perfect. I do occasionally have to shove someone back there for short trips but it's fine.

Yes to all of this post. Dog can get real comfortable sitting behind you with a doggie bed. You will need the power

How does a damaged tailgate result in a rebuilt title?

It's likely the rear frame damage that the owner failed to disclose, confirmed by the rebuilt title admission.

OP, personally, V6> 4cyl in your search unless you really want a stock 5 lugger. Otherwise, you will regret it once the mods and truck weight increases.

I own the same as the first truck and i can tell you its super. Loaded with shell, sleep platform and gear going up MTS is no issue(those 4 Bangers are solid). Also i have no kids so thats important. I wished for a AC only once. In the end id go witch ever is manual.

Yep, I'm guessing that is closer to the truth...
There was a Scion of some sort advertised on the bulletin board at work... the seller stated that it had a rebuilt title due to suffering a bent wheel... he was asking $11,000 for it...!

Those Scions must have some very expensive wheels...
