Considering purchasing an extended warranty on my truck before the 3 yr 36 expires. I bought the truck new and at the time declined the warranty purchase. After 18 months of ownership the vehicle has been great and I’ve decided to keep it as long as possible. Based on what I’ve seen around Tacoma world there’s a small handful of issues on our tacomas where they shit the bed and a major, costly repair is required.

    1. Burnt cylinder head P11EE code
    2. Coolant bypass hose leak
    3. Timing cover leak
    4. Torque converter failure on auto trans models

So, my question is 2 parts. Which of these repairs would be covered under the extended warranty? Also, which of these would already be covered under my 5yr 60k power train? All of them?

if these repairs are all covered by extended warranty then I’d be more interested in fronting the warranty expense to mitigate a big bill on one of the above listed isssues.

I am aware I can search around different posts on the forum and see which repairs got covered, at x times, with x warranties etc etc but if someone has the knowledge and can provide clarification it would be appreciated. Thanks.
