I have a non-HD ARE MX canopy on my DCLB and would like to carry two kayaks. The canopy has roof rails (added after purchase), while the truck does not have any kind of rack added to it.

We're planning to buy 2x sit-on-top kayaks. I would expect the weight to be up to 70 lbs each. With the trailer (Scamp 13), I want to keep the kayaks forward enough to not interfere with the turn radius, especially if carrying bikes on the trailer tongue.

How would you recommend carrying those kayaks? The kicker is that the MX is a mid-rise canopy.
