American Racing AR172, lightest wheel you can get. Idk if they offer one for 5 lug tho. Personally 5 lugs look better with the oem look, jmo

Transformed it from bad ass to really really bad ass. Well done!

Can you notice a big difference with the aftermarket headlights? Trying to decide if I should upgrade mine or just mount some LED’s.

Night and day, seriously. I’ve had many instances driving at night with old headlights that were white knuckle experiences whether for fear of animals I couldn’t see, inability to see down far enough to anticipate road conditions or being blinded by bright oncoming headlights and losing night adjusted vision.

Just make sure you fab yours (what I did, look at kits on the retrofit source and research here, lots of info) or purchase headlights with projectors with appropriate cutoffs, running HID bulbs in stock housings is a dick move.

Now that the majority of vehicles being sold have HID projectors it felt like an arms race, having dull headlights is now that much more difficult because everyone else’s lights are so bright

Ya you’re absolutely right about it being sketchy, especially if it’s dark while the roads are wet. I was tempted to be an ass and change the bulbs but found out that it’s literally pointless without the correct housings.

I really appreciate the info. I think that might be my next project so I’ll definitely start doing some more reading.

You’ll like it, well worth it. There are certain things that can be done that make these trucks quite a bit more modern and safe feeling but there’s nothing comparable to HID projectors for safety and bringing them into the current decade, that and brakes

Ya especially with winter coming up it’ll be real nice to have. Plus it’ll make it so I don’t have to sand my old housings. Something like 5 birds with one stone lol

I’m still a newb when it comes to DIY mods and repairs so I can’t even tell you how screwed I’d be without guys like you spelling things out on this forum.

I know couple months old but what size wheel did you get? My son wants to run 15x10 -38 pro comp 67 but afraid the wheel will hit the caliper. What year is your truck and also trim. He has a 2003 4x4 3.4 V6. tks
