Hey guys! First post, but I've been doing a lot of reading on here. I'm trying to decide on which KO2 tire to go with for my new 2017 TRD Pro. I don't want to fool with spacers, or cutting right now and I'm not planning on doing a lift anytime soon. I've seen all the differing opinions on 285's, but to be safe and get a more agressive look than stock, I'm trying to decide between 265/75R16 or 275/70R16. With the 275, I'd save a few lbs and the speedo wouldn't be off quite as bad. Which one should I go with and why? Thanks!

265's. if you run a 17" wheel you get a C load instead of D or E load. It helps IMO. KO2's are a slightly hard feeling tire.

Please tell me you got the pro in cement!?! If so, get some dark matte bronze wheels from SCS.

Thanks for the reply. Lol, unfortunately got the Pro in white (my wife has the TRDP 4runner in white, so it just made sense). I guess I should have mentioned, I am planning to just run the stock 16" Pro wheels for awhile. The 275 KO2 tire is D rated and the 265 is E....

Bronze wheels still look great on white lol.

Can't comment on the D rated vs E rated KO2's. I just have C's and I was still shocked at how much firmer they feel at times.

Good luck. Nitto recently released a sweet new AT tire.

I just got 235/75r 16 , bfg-at/k02. No clue on load range. With slightly raised (1.5") I'm getting rubbing in reverse at full steering lock. From the small guards in front of front tires it seems. Mud flaps tore off on first trip into White-Inyo range, way before these tires so they don't rub!. So far I love the look and traction. Speedo is quite off, or my mileage sucks bad. Guessing speedo. Can't wait to really 4wd this summer!

I'd go 275. I ran that size on my stock wheels and suspension for a few months, on and off-road, without any issues.

    list is growing fast
Just put on 265/75. They're pretty sick tires and have crushed the off road so far. Noticed a rough ride on some shorty roads in west Sonoma county. I figure airing down will solve that and will definitely do when expecting harsh roads in the future.

That being said, I went from 17" down to 16" and the larger sidewall has helped offset the extra plys of rubber on my sport (read: already stiff) suspension.

I rub a tad on some plastic at stuff and turning into a steep grade, so 275 might rub hard even on the pro suspension? You never can really tell. But at least a heat gun is all I need to solve my issue. 275 might need more...

Mpg's before = 21.5. After = 20.5 but not really sure since the speedo and computer are off because of larger size tire. I went from 36 lb tire to 53 lb tire. But the wheels are defenitely lighter.

Final thoughts: the E is all about protection and confidence off road. That's important enough to me to purchase again, and again. IMG_5481.jpg
