Which size of tire should I put on my truck?

I'm looking for new wheels and tires and I was just wondering what size of tire should I get with a 3 inch lift, and without it affecting my turning.

Offroad or Sport ? ie ~ 16" or 17" wheels ?

 

265/75/16, 265/70/17, 255/85/16 or 255/80/17 are all the tires sizes I know of that don't require trimming

 

34x10.5x17

 

35x12.5x20

34x10.5x17 is basically a 265/80/17

You're going BFG's? Doesn't seem like there much choice in that size.

So far I like my 265/75/16. I Down sized from a 285/75/16. I have about a 3 inch lift.
OME 886 up front and Dakars in the back. I was nervous going to a smaller tire but I think I like it better.

 

The tire Oz suggests is a great option. The true 33" tires in 255 width are a good option too.

 

I would like to get back the acceleration and braking I had with 265s

 

255/75r17. It's available in many C load (6 ply) options. Won't hut mpg's, fills out the wheel well enough, slightly narrower tread pattern has all sorts of benefits.

Yeah I do notice a difference. Looking at 255 but just not enough options. I even went with a load range C to get a bit lighter of a tire.... sounds like there might be more options in a 17 inch rim though.

 

I'm considering going back to 265s for my next tires because of all the hauling and towing I do.
