Which style of rock sliders?

The bolt-on or weld-on?

 

4xinnovations are an amazing product, DOM tubing with kickout. I have beat the S%#t out of them and they dont even have a dent

Get DEMELLO's Sliders they will make them with or without a kickout. I recomend a kickout.

why? I received them today and they are kick ass..Dealing with Brandon was A+ situation also, I have nothing bad to say.. Mine are the bolt in and they line up perfectly.

The bolt-on slider/steps are an alternative to the step bars. They are designed more for the people that like the looks of sliders but don’t need the super strength of weld ons. There is no drilling or welding required to install them. They simply bolt into the factory running board mounts. Because of the mounting location, these sliders are not intended to support the weight of the truck but can be used as steps, dent protection, and light off-roading. Think of them as step bars that look like sliders.

 

One incidental nice thing about kickouts: I can stand on them to reach into the bed more easily.

 

I bought them for the purpose of not having people open their car doors on mine, for that purpose they are great

 

They have both bolt on and weld on, just read the website!

The weld on sliders are designed for the more extreme off-roading. The triangulated frame plate design allows the frame welds to be angled, giving them much more strength then the normal vertical weld on design. Four legs attach the sliders to the frame, making them solid enough for a hi-lift jack and strong enough to protect your truck through whatever situation arises out on the trail.

 

what do you mean they bolt to the body? i thought they bolt to the frame using existing holes?

Yeah, they'll do that...side molding probably woulda been cheaper tho. But, as long as you like 'em...

 

Whatever brand you get make sure you weld them onto the frame. I would stick weld them using 7014 rods

 

True but my demellos bolt to the frame with minor drilling. Most meet right up to a hole. I'm also welding them next weekend.

 

This thread was an interesting read on sliders. It brought up points I've never even thought of.

I've decided on Shrockworks since they're local to avoid shipping costs. Seems like the average is at least $100 per some fabs I've spoken to and some don't even make them for a dclb.

 

Great choice. I got them and paid a lot in shipping but they are a well made product and worth every cent.

I'd check out Brute Force Fab or Relentless. Both of which advertise on TW.
