I am using Castrol Edge the last three oil changes, seems to work very well. I am going to go with Royal Purple the next change just to give it a shot.

Nothing has quieted both my engines like Royal Purple. IMMEDIATELY noticed smoother idling and got rid of the lifter tick I had in my Matrix with Mobil 1.

Don't get me wrong - there's a ton of great oils out there, but since testing shows them all to be plenty adequate the personal experience of benefits certainly sold me. I'm a Royal Purple guy from here on out. Run it in both my vehicles, absolutely love it.

Excellent, I have 3000k miles to go till the next oil change, but I am looking forward to putting in the RP. Thanks for your input, much appreciated!

That and the fact that they have no SAE, ACEA or manufacturer certifications. They are doubtless an excellent oil, but if you ever DID have a warranty beef you're kinda left alone.

Amsoil supposedly provides their own guarantee if a problem can be traced to their oil, but why open yourself up for a huge hassle if there are lots of superb oils on the market that DO offer those certifications?

what the hell are you guys/girls smoking to make up phrases like that. you guys/girls are flipity-flapity-long-bottomed-crazy-blueberry flower-carrying-bowler hats. j/k
we are not rich and dont have a distributor.

royal purple is good but not 16.00/qt good. mobil 1 is 4.00/qt by it and change it every 1500 miles and you still save money.

sounds like snake oil. any proof they pay up? you can get your money back on tillamock cheese if you want but nobody does...

    weird what brand?

Where the hell are you buying Royal Purple?!?! I get it for $8/qt. at Advance Auto...

Their GEAR OIL is about 18/qt, which is expensive, yes, but with only needing to change every couple years, I can deal.

Valvoline synpower right now because my dad had a huge case of it he needed to get rid of. Im switching to Pennzoil Platinum in about 4000 more miles.

None currently, but I would like a better sounding exhaust and perhaps a cold air pack and some color coded step bars
I am a Mobil guy , but following the correct oil change schedule, with filter, ANY of the synthetics in todays markets would be fine.

M1 - Maybe there's better, doubt it, but I get it for $25 6-pack qts at Costco when they have their $10 coupons. It's retails around $35. Wally sells 5qt jugs for around $25 too.

Maybe Amsoil or Royal Purple is better in this or that test, but I can't find the stuff locally. JMHO

I have to agree, while Castrol Syn is around my state, very little else is unless you get WalllyWorlds own brand.....Wally has a good price too and I use Taco filters but will look arouind for that deal where you get M1 and a M filter for around $30..... thats a good deal........
I also am able to get Wix filters which are very good.

Amsoil, Go to the website click on the oil you want and done! It comes right to your doorstep. How much easier can you get? If you become a preferred customer you can get it at wholesale price, wich makes it as cheap as mobil 1.
