I got an Acer Iconia Android tablet about 4 months ago. It runs Android 3.1, has flash 10.3, full size USB port, micro USB, HDMI output, 16gb internal, supports 32gb micro SD, shoots hi def video, rear camera w/flash, front facing camera for chat. Amazing screen, Dolby sound and blazing fast. Not to mention the android market where most apps are free. Haven't hardly touched my laptop since getting it.

Then get her a new laptop/notebook. They can do a lot more than a tablet. They have more power, more memory, RAM, more faster, more everything! you can even get them with a freakin Blu ray player! all for about the same price or less then a iPad

Blackberry Playbook. Best operating system, 7 inch portability, great for work, but lacks a lot of apps.

Edit: didn't realize you bought tablet already lol. Congrats!
