have you considered the Toyo M/T? I have sets on all my cars and I can't complain. I work at Les Schwab and thats what we put on all our trucks. Bulletproof tire in my opinion...

NTGs have 50k warranty & come with roadside assistance & several other nicities at NTB. Have put 10k on mine since buying the truck. They were already on it so not sure how many miles there were on them before I got it. Truck had 48k. I have noticed no wear on them in that 10k of mostly frwy driving since I've had them & they still have over half the tread depth as new ones. About 60 miles a day of 75mph frwy driving & nothing but good so far. Prerunner so not doing much actual 4x4 action where any more of an offroad tire would do me any good so maybe that should be a consideration in these type threads. I'm sure there's better tires for mostly offroad & there's a better one for a mix & it won't be the same tire. Pick what suits your needs. As usual, one thing won't work for everybody so there is no king of all things.

Hmm I wonder if that tire would drop my MPG much? I don't really have the $ to spend on some Toyo's. :(

Go for the TG's. I had problems with the Pro Comps in the past they kept sending me tires that we couldn't balance without lots of weight.

I have the Nitto TGs now and I would consider getting them again. Treadwear seems fine to me and they are very low noise on the road, yet aggressive offroad.

I also experienced the balance issue on my F150. OP, if you are not in a rush, check out the Nitto Trail tires, due out in Sept. These look like an awesome tire.

Go with the Pro Comp's 100%...i have about 10k miles on them, rotated once, and don't baby them, still in great shape, very little tread gone, and all are wearing the same,...also very little road noise! i will get them again when these eventually wear-out!!!

Well, the Procomp tires are probably a better quality tire since they're quite a bit higher normally so I feel that they must be in the upper level but I've never owned them. The Nitto looks really good on my truck and I got a really excellent deal on them through Discount Tire Direct because they matched and beat an ebay motors store called Jordan for me- $620.00 out the door for a set of 285/75/16 NTG tires (33's) , awesome deal. They seem to be pretty good quality and I'll just have to wait and see what happens with wear and tear....

Pro comp is #1 in my book, ive used the mt's and LOVED Them, they make a great product. I just wish they would make 285/70/17 in MT :( The cooper STT tires are fairly similer to the procomp tread pattern, and i hear good things about them and they are cheaper.

If you read the warranty page, it really isnt that great of a deal at all. the 100% free reimbusment is only for the first 10% of tire wear, and will only be covered if the tire has a freak disfuction that isnt the fault of the user. Plus you have to log every tire rotation you get from an approved dealer, and alignment has to be in spec ect. the warranty past the first 10% goes something like this, you divide the number of miles you have on the tires by 40,000 and thats what it will cost per tire to replace them plus a couple other charges. I havent done the math, but it doesnt sound very appealing to me :(

    A few bolts are different.
I debated this exact same topic only 1 month back. I ended up with my second set of TG's as I know they work well for me. I did go from a 285/70/17 to a 285/75/16 and the road noise seems to be louder on the 16's but so far I am a happy camper now on the second set of TG's.

oh by the way I would have gotten 40K+ on my last set of TG's if I hadnt pulled them early to put on the new wheels with the new tires.
