I'm in the market for some new tires and just trying to get an idea of what other people on here like/dislike. I'm looking for an All Terrain Tire, no super swampers or anything like that.

I have over 50,000 mile on my Nitto Terra Grapplers and was thinking about sticking with those but also looking at the Hancooks.

Popular tires on here include the Nittos you have, the Hankooks, Goodyear Duratracs, BFG AT's. Everyone seems to like those 4 and when there is a poll asking which is best everyone just argues with each other for pages and pages

Haven't heard much about Hancooks but everyone I know who has the Terra Grapplers or everything I've heard about those tires have all been positive. Same with the Duratracs

Thanks. I definitely like the tread pattern on the Nittos but have been thinking about Hancooks. I'll check out the Goodyears. I've had mixed results with BF Goodrich's

My Duratracs have been good to me. I'd buy another set. I will shop around to see what else is out there when these need replacing just to see I'd there's anything I'd kike better.

I think once I get my lift on next weekend I'll start my tire shopping. Right now I've narrowed it down to either Duratracs or maybe treadwrights...Was a little iffy at first about the Treadwrights but a lot of people on here run them and haven't had any problems with them

I've tried the following on various vehicles
Nitto Terra Grapplers (P rating, not LT)
BFG AT KO's (LT, Load Range D)
Wrangler Authorities (LT, Load Range E)
General Grabber AT2 (LT, Load Range D)

Favorite so far? The AT2's, hands down. The Nittos's were good all around tire, the BFG's, I have no idea why so many people like these other than the fact they last for ever, they were loud and had shitty traction in the wet and snow, the Authorities were good, great winter traction, and great off road too, but did get a little loud after about 50K km, and were really stiff sidewall, I got tired of the rough ride. Which leads us to the General Grabber AT2's. These look pretty good, ride much softer and quieter than the authorities, and work well off road. Even if you never off road but you still want an aggressive looking tire, these are quiet, quiet enough to run on a daily driver, and not think about tire noise. I like 'em.

Tires are like shoes, everyone will have different tastes, different needs, different budgets to spend. You'll ask this one question and you'll get 30 different answers. There are PLENTY of threads you can read, actually there are THOUSANDS you can read right now, right here in this section. Take some time and do your own research based on your needs.

I'm with you, I really don't get the attraction for the BFG's other than the look.
