I sold mine when I got the truck, but my 2 friends on stock tires got only around 25-30k out of them.

If that rings true for me, I'll be searching for other tires next time around.

No money, all went to truck...

If I could get tires at that price from dealer, I'd do it too.

It's too bad this tire doesn't look more aggressive. This has to be one of the best "mostly road" tires out there. Totally underrated.

I don't do much Highway driving, so the Duratracs have been my go-to tire. They are the most aggressive, hence the loudest. They are great in the snow.

If your looking for a good compromise tire, Highway/light trails, then get the WildPeaks.

The Kevlar tires suck at everything!

FWIW I run Dueler HTs for my 'summer' set up (Ohio). Great on-road tires, maybe 'ok' for an occasional dry off-road venture. I run Cooper AT3s on steelies in winter. Duelers HTs ain't my idea of a year-round tire (again Ohio), unless you're flat-lander city folk. YMMV...:notsure:

Another vote for Toyo AT3s - wonderful tires with great capabilities. Although might be overkill for OP if the truck stays on pavement 99% of the time.

I liked the OEM Wrangler Kevlars but they only lasted 40K and they now appear to be discontinued. I recently purchased the Michelin Defender LTX tires that have the best ratings (800, 800, A, A). All in for <$1k at BJ’s. I like them so far. 99.99% on road use.

If you want perfomance for the 99% a that you describe plus keep your gas mileage and a better ride than the stock tires, I would suggest the Michelin Defender LTX M/S...if you want to look good at the mall, have a louder ride, nominal performance and shorter life span...there are plenty of others to choose from.

You mentioned a swamp, if you find yourself spending a lot of time in swampy mud, a mud tire is gonna be your only choice, but it sounds like you drive your truck on the road almost always and once in a while find yourself on a dirt road or two.

Kidding aside, since I really dug into the Defender LTX and saw what they can and have really done on some overloading rigs, they have been the best tires I have put on a Tacoma for my use, and the ride is better than stock. If I were spending any time rock crawling I would just put a set E rated tires on another set of rims and change it out for the trip, that would be the only place I might be concerned (and heavy mud, but again change out rims)

Bull bar with lights, Wheels on stock tires, window vents.
I got about 65k out of my original Good Years with the Kevlar, with a little life to spare so I went with them again and I'm about 20k in, happy with the performance and noise level as I do mostly highway driving.
