So the truck I got has 100K miles and so the tires don't have the most tread ever left so I don't know what tires are better for off road and the regular road.

My question for you will have to be this; what are you REALLY going to be using the truck for?
    You see, the way I figure it works with tires, is that there are 3 options;
    1) Road only,
    2) versatile,
    3) poser.

The thing with the poser tires, is that they make it look super mudder, but only really yield marginal difference compared to versatile tires offroad, and can actually cause a significant reduction in on-road performance.

My vote is for Goodyear Wrangler Trailrunner AT. I've got a set of the older named version of those on mine with load range E, and they're holding up really well, pushing near to 200,000 km on them, I'm anticipating that they'll last to at least 250,000 km.

Cooper STT Pro if you absolutely must get a M/T.... if you do more than 60% of your driving on the road, get the ST MAXX. I have a lot of experience with both of these. The MAXX does everything better than the pro except for mud. E rated take an absolute beating in the rocks. Have had KM1/2 KO1/2 and Toyo MT and the Coopers win for me

STT pros +1 also KO2s +1 from this guy. If you're looking for an MT tire or AT that's a bit more budget friendly however, I recommend the Firestone Destination MT2s. Quiet on the road and aggressive to say the least off-road. Ill be posting some videos soon on my channel if you are interested in seeing how they perform but they surprised me. As far as a budget end tire, coming from a guy that would take the BFGs any day of the week, these MT2s don't suck.

Seriously though. I was super impressed with how smooth they were on road. and for less than 200 hundred a tire, they are hard to beat in that price range. Of course that's Canadian Dollas so that's like $1.89 a tire for you american folks. ;P

Ya man... I have a set for offroading... And they blew me away... They had hardly any weight to balance them...

They are great on gravel... they don't spit stones hardly as well...

They did their R&D on these M/T's for sure...

Don't need to be scared about a flat in the boonies... They are thick!

Beauty, yeah I'm enjoying them, mine balanced great as well. I'm running 235/85R16 pizza cutters.

    That's the size I wish I had...

Love the skinny's... Don't care what the fat tire kids say...

They fit on the stock rims no problem, I had 245/70R16s and they swapped easy. Just an FYI if you were wondering about fitment. Next time round I highly recommend.

Love my KO2s. Quiet on road, look good. Good traction when raining, pretty good offroad. Not bad in the snow. They wear quite well too. I got the E rating so a bit heavier.

I like my General Grabber ATX tires. Well priced 10ply, thick sidewalls with great grip material on the sidewall as well. I find them almost as quiet as the stock wranglers..Also just came out not to long ago.
