800 ish. The supercharger addition basically made the stock clutch unable to take shock loads. I'm very very happy with the heavy flywheel and stage 2 clutch.

I didn't have the chirp though so I apologize if this is off topic. The urd sleeve makes the clutch throw much smoother than stock if anything.

Cool! Can't wait. I didn't order the URD clutch, but will have the tob sleeve and heavy flywheel.

It's pretty sweet. I don't have to slip the clutch nearly as much to get these 33's rolling. I'm not sure why it took 10 years for someone to release a heavy flywheel for these trucks.

Wonder if the heavy flywheel will wear the exedy clutch faster/more

For what it is worth, I had the TSB done in the Fall 2014, and after about 11,000 miles the chirp is back. New slave, redesigned TOB, new release fork, clutch, and pressure plate. Had it done at 61,000 miles, now at 72,000. By now I'm sure the quill in my trans is all fubar'd so I don't know what to do at this point.

Edit: I'll probably be installing the sleeve kit, given I can get a replacement TOB for that kit if URD were to hit the fan.

Subbed. I'm at 47k miles and no chirp yet. If I do end up with it, I want to know what the best fix is.

It shouldn't technically speaking you have to slip the clutch less to get it to engage with a heavier flywheel. So in theory it should have your clutch last longer, but biggest deciding factor is how you drive it.

Good luck I love my new clutch just got past the breakin period on it did a couple light launches with it. I love it but now it's onto longevity to see how long it will last chirpless

    Reviving the dead here...

Tiger541, You left us all hanging by the thread here... did you make the swap & what were the results?

I need to replace the TOB in my 06 4.0 4x4 and am planning on replacing the clutch at the same time since I'll be digging into it, so I'm researching new parts. I've decided on the URD TOB (highly recommend, by most) but am up in the air for clutches (URD stage 2, Aisin, Exedy, or Sachs) and flywheels (either resurfacing the original, URD heavy or other... so far there aren't any good/consistent reviews for flywheels). My Tacoma is a daily driver with light periodic towing so I'm shying away from the $400 URD heavy flywheel unless someone can sell me on it.

For the clutch is either go aisin(oem) or with the stage 2 from urd. The pressure isn't much different from stock with my stage 2 plus it has a warranty from urd on the clutch for a year, plus it's overbuilt for a stock truck for Hp/torque so it should hold up longer.

For the flywheel I bought the heavy one since it was part of the kit. But I was also planning on doing the job over a weekend at my house, and didn't want to wait on a machine shop to resurface it. But you can get an oem weighted one from rockauto for like $200 iirc. Just don't bother with the light weight flywheel unless your not planning on using it as a truck and more as a drag truck type thing.

But for the tob if you have the cash maybe go with the urd hydraulic, not sure of any reviews on it but the ideology behind it makes total sense. I did hear some say their sleeve kits chirped after 15k. But I have about 2k on mine no chirp and everything engages as it should.

apologies, Been bz, anyways, I did get the work done and its been almost 4k miles. No chirps, or issues to report. As far as performance, I couldnt feel too much of a difference, except maybe the engine/flywheel would spin the engine a bit longer/more and made shifting smoother and easier. I havent been wheeling on it yet, but it is my daily driver, and I feel like the exedy clutch could handle the heavy flywheel fine, but if I put it through its paces I feel like I should of gone with the URD matched clutch... we shall see soon enough when I find time for wheeling.

I appreciate your recommendations... I'm going to order the URD Stage 2 clutch kit w/ TOB and a new OEM flywheel. Did you receive a clutch alignment tool as part of your clutch kit from URD, I'm curious since URD doesn't list it as an included item?

Hey Tiger541...summer is almost over, get wheeling man and test out that heavy flywheel!:mudding:thanks for the update!
