Thank you everyone for the help. I live in houston so I dont think I would be using the 4X4 or the TRD much. I think Im going to go with the Texas Edition or the SR5 package. I was thinking of getting a used one but for 1K more I can get a new one, so im going tomorrow to the dealer to test drive them. Ill keep yall posted to see what I end up getting.

well as the saying goes you'd be saving more if you bough used, 1 year old and 1 owner. if you bought a new one you have shaven off $5000 of what it's worth when you leave the lot. so be careful there and let us know how it turns out :0)

If you are in Houston, I strongly recommend STERLING McCALL TOYOTA on the SW Freeway (Hwy 59 S). Talk to Ricky Lowery (713.270.3900). He is an incredibly knowledgible guy. He got me an incredible deal on my 2007 AccessCab PreRunner SR5!

Tell him what you want, and make him beat another deal. He will do it! You may also want to mention Mark and Jennifer B. and "the red 4cyl PreRunner" that I bought on New Year's Day. :D

Texas Edition and Toyota Sport Series are trim packages and don't seem to offer as much meat in their package as the TRD- go for the TRD.
TRD Off-Road offers splashes of chrome and locking diff.
TRD Sport offers a non functional hood scoop and a limited slip diff.

I couldn't afford either, but I would have liked to see the Off-Road offered with the lond bed.

This is a ripoff did you say 24k..Paying over 20k for a preowned is horrendous. You can buy TRD all day long for 15k!Forget the Texas edition that is a joke you either buy TRD or pro.Now sr5 offers 4x4 TRD doesn’t this is kind of a big factor.Other then that. From the sounds of it you want to pay big money so just get a new truck.

How does one even find a thread that hasn’t had any posts for 15 years and why would anyone want to post something currently on it? I’m just curious.
