I'll be moving in a few weeks and need your guys' opinion.

Right now I have DirecTV and the only complaint I have is that the channel guide has an annoying delay. I'm aware that AT&T U-verse doesn't have that delay, but don't know anything else about it. I'm pretty much ruling out Comcast (our local TV service) and Dish Network already.

I'm leaning toward U-verse because AT&T can also provide internet, but what are your opinions? I know that they sometimes give pretty cool incentives to new customers, know of any? I remember Comcast giving away free Wiis one time.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I'm curious why you ruled out comcast and dishnetwork?

I've heard Comcast has that same delay that DirecTV has, and I had Dish Network for a month and realized it didn't even compare to DirecTV.

btw, we don't have Cox in our area

    Cox doesn't serve Union City

I saw that coupon code actually. Sweet! I saw that they have the 200 channel and internet combo for ~$100/month. That seems pretty decent

Directv is coming out with a new HD DVR very soon. HR24-500. http://www.dbstalk.com/showthread.php?t=172657

Also, they are also supposed to be coming out with a Directv Tivo soon too. I think by the end of Q2.

Both are supposed to be much faster than the current one. I do agree the guide is fn slow.

Because Comcast will rape your wallet!! We got rid of comcast to go with DirectTV and couldn've be happier. Had DirectTV for 3 years. Comcast keeps raising their rates but the service doesn't get any better.

I hate that delay too - but I like that I can delete the channels I don't watch in my favorites list.

I have had Directv for years and love it. The delay does suck though. I would switch to U-verse if they had it in my area. U-verse uses Directv and the internet is super fast too.
