The delay on the channel guide with direct tv does suck, but that's the only complaint I have with it. Not enough to change services. At least not yet.

I've had DirecTV for years also and I really like it, just not the delay. If U-verse is better like most of you said, I might end up going that route

The newer DVRs with Dish Network dont have a delay on the channel guide at all. In fact it will let me look a week in advance. Questioning why you ruled them out. We are thinking about switching to Direct tv but if their guide has not gotten any better ...?!?! Oh and Tivo is just a brand name for a DVR by the way...loosing market share quickly I might add too since all brands are offering a similar if not better system.

I've got U-Verse, and it's good except for the fact that they don't carry Padres games...

My dad has Uverse and it is fine except when there is an issue. Before with Comcast he would get a dispatch fairly quickly if there is a problem. Uverse he has to schedule a time and it usually inconvenient and tech support is terrible.

Comcast is the Verizon of cable companies. Internet only program viewing is the way to go.

Some HD channels on Dish are not shown in HD 24/7. For example, my 2 local sports network HD channels are only on about hour before and an hour after game time. After/Before that I would have to watch the standard definition channel.

I don't have FiOS in my area or I would have gotten it without a doubt, especially with the super deal they have going on right now.

    https://www22.verizon.com/residential/bundles/overview#fios

15/5 for internet speed from FiOS.

I'm only at 3 mb right now and it's Verizon as well. I pay $45 for it. SUCKS!
